Solastalgia (/ˌsɒləˈstældʒə/can be described as the lived experience of negatively perceived environmental change, or ‘the homesickness you have when you are still at home’ and your home environment is changing in ways you find distressing [glenn albrecht]

‘Solastalgia & What Lies Beyond’ is a display of a several-years-long processing of personal grief within the broader context of ecological grief. What started as an attempt to connect with past home environments in timeless multi-dimensionality - to gain constant access to them - became a quest to see beyond attachment. In the face of perceived loss and emptiness, I learned to personify the land around me and create a continuous relationship with it. What lies beyond? I let the elements guide and hold me there. By spiraling inward and back out, gazing and listening deeply.

Tal’s photography is lovely - with an excellent eye for framing and composition - a lot of Indigenous Red Road and many other spiritual paths advise - that a benefit of being in nature - is that all the elements of nature can and will share their wisdom with you - in their non verbal way - and Tal’s nature photographs convey that quality.
